Visitors of Locarno in Los Angeles were mainly composed of industry representatives, filmmakers, and film students. "It is my career goal to be able to present one of my films in Locarno," enthused the Canadian documentary filmmaker Sandra Ignagni, and the Romanian Alice Bardan is looking forward to seeing a film from her homeland. "Romanian films never make it into the cinemas of Los Angeles. I have not even seen Radu Jude's last movie Aferim!, which won a Silver Bear for Best Director two years ago at the Berlinale."
